                          Shifting To Transformative Professional Learning
           My call for Alternate Professional Learning (PL) emphasizes moving away from a one-size-fits-all, traditional professional development approach. Instead, it advocates for a modern, transformative professional learning model that is teacher-centered and provides practical, innovative implementation strategies to make the learning more effective and impactful. My Alternative Professional Learning Outline aligns with this by offering a structured yet flexible plan to support a go-and-show approach to learning, with a focus on AI instruction.
          For example, to facilitate go-and-show learning, teachers will engage in self-paced modules focusing on AI tools and their application in English lessons. These modules will be accessible on a learning platform like Schoology, allowing teachers to learn at their convenience and quickly apply new knowledge. Just as we want students to experience real-world applications of AI, teachers will actively design, test, and refine their AI-integrated units, making the learning meaningful and hands-on. Teachers will also participate in coaching sessions, peer discussions, and receive feedback, which models the collaborative and iterative process we want students to experience with AI tools.
          Essentially, any AI-related task we ask our students to undertake, we will be doing ourselves. This professional learning is an ongoing cycle, not a one-time event. It's about implementing a plan, reflecting on what has been learned, and refining it for continuous improvement. This combination ensures lasting change in the classroom and enhances learning for both teachers and students.
